If you’ve ever been told you’re “too sensitive,” you’re probably used to questioning yourself. I was too.
For years, I believed the way I felt things was a problem — the intensity, the constant awareness, the emotional responses that seemed deeper than others’. I kept trying to manage it, tone it down, or make myself tougher.
It was only when I began looking deeper — reading, learning, and understanding the psychology of sensitivity — that I understood it wasn’t a flaw at all..! It was my nervous system processing the world more deeply.
I learned that sensitivity isn’t rare or wrong. Around 15–20% of the world’s population is highly sensitive.
We process information differently. We notice more, feel more, and respond more deeply — and that capacity, in itself, is a gift.
Most of us just fail to recognise it because we’re trying so hard to fit into a world that rewards being loud, fast, and emotionally detached.
This space is for understanding that sensitivity, not fixing it, and learning how to live with it gently, without constantly feeling overwhelmed or out of place.
